tasting notes
A cherry red wine, with purple reflections and an aroma of black fruits with roasted notes. Full-bodied and powerful to the taste, concentrated and with sweet notes that are reminiscent of cacao. Has a long, well-balanced after-taste.

terroir
A rugged region with sharp relief, in which the grapes are grown on terraces and on the mountain sides or “costers”. The earth is the distinctive element of this region, and is stony and poor with a volcanic constitution, formed by thin layers of slate or “llicorella”, that retain little water, giving the wines produced in this region a marked mineral character. The Mediterranean climate is extremely dry, with sharp contrasts in the temperatures during the day and at night.

harvesting
From mid October.
production
Cultivation of traditional low-production vines which are fermented separately after being macerated in their skins for 15 days, blended in coupage, and the first are aged in French oak casks and the second in American oak casks, until the tannins are controlled.
aging
The wine is filtered slightly and bottled, to continue the aging process until the characteristic bouquet of these wines is obtained.
paring
Goes well with stews, game, poultry, mushrooms and blue and cured cheese.
serving
We recommend decanting before drinking, and serving at a temperature of between 16 and 18ºC.
