CESCA VICENT 2007

CESCA VICENT 2007
cellar cesca vicent priorat
type red wine, Aged
grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha tinta
region Priorat
vintage 2007

tasting notes Intense reddish colour with violet tones. Good brilliant maroon depth. On the nose, the first impression is surprising and pleasant, on a perfumed backdrop of flowers, fruits and species as strawberries, plums, violets, clove, pepper and tobacco leaves. Bouquet of well-structured oak wood. In the mouth, it is tasty; full bodied with a pleasant finish (maintains a very good acidity). With well-integrated tannins, this, together with the characteristics of the ageing process in the bottle, brings out the wine’s harmony and flavour. Well-balanced, frank and fresh with a lasting perfumed persistence evoking its terroir, the Priorato.
Harvesting is carried out by hand separately, with selected bunches of grapes being harvested when they are at optimum ripeness. Premaceration in refrigerated stores and controlled fermentation in stainless steel tank. The wine is daily gently pumped and during the fermentation, it goes at least trough 3 or 4 rack and returns. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, part of the wine rests in French and American oak barrels where it remains for 6 months (66% of the wine).
